It is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud. It does not demand it's own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Movies

Friday night Emma and I went to see the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid with our friends Shana and Holly. The movie was hilarious, I would highly recommend going to see it! Very funny and entertaining!
Remember this book? I just ordered the hardcover for Emma to read!
Because guess what?!?! There was a preview for the movie coming out this summer!!
We are soooo excited!!!

Celebration

What are we celebrating? Jason is officially a US Army Sniper! He has spent the last 2 weeks at Sniper School in Arkansas. We are so proud of him and of how hard he has worked to achieve this goal! The girls were so excited to have him home. Unfortunately, his absence is something we are going to have to get used to. He is on alert to deploy sometime this summer.

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family to share our lives with!

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

Science Fun

Last Friday Emma's 1st & 2nd grade class took a field trip to the Science Center in Des Moines. We got there around 9:30 am and started with Orientation. They had two workshops scheduled during the day; Chemistry Creations Lab and Fire and Ice. There was a little bit of free time before the Chemistry Creations so we headed up to a presentation in the Star Theater.

The Chemisty Creations Lab is where they used their previous knowledge of the states of matter and senses to observe the changes that took place through chemical reactions.

The Fire and Ice Presentation was interesting and fun. They learned how fog is made from dry ice and water. We witnessed first hand the freezing property of nitrogen on rubber and latex balloons. Then the use of fire with the gas hydrogen.

Some fun they had during their free time....

To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. Mark 4:25
