County Fair

Last weekend was the Boone County Fair. We took the kids to the parade Thursday night (Emma missed out because she had gymanstics) and it was actually pretty big this year. They had a new parade route and there was a great turnout! Saturday we spent the day at the Ames Aquatic Center and then headed to the fair. We met Jason's parents and cousins Hannah & Noah out there. After we filled up on corn dogs, cotton candy, Big G's BBQ (YUM!) & funnel cakes the kids rode some rides. The kids loved seeing all the animals. They also had a little play area set up with sand boxes full of corn which turned out to be a big hit! We finished off the night sharing some Coldstone ice cream. All in all a fun night at the fair!
