We traveled to Waterloo Friday night for the Black Hawk Invitational. We got a hotel room since she competed Saturday morning at 8am. Thankfully we missed out on the snow-I was so relieved I did not have to drive in it!! Emma did a great job, improving her bar and floor scores, she is still trying to improve her vault and she had her first (and hopefully only!) fall on beam. She started out on beam again and for some reason this affects her performance-I guess it must be nerves! It was a little frustrating as she has done so well on beam in the past but I am working on keeping frustrations to myself. Being a parent is not always easy especially when you see your child struggling. Emma is such a hard worker and we are so proud of her!!
