We started our day off with a phone call from Jason. The girls were very excited to talk to him and were eager to tell him everything they have been up to. We miss him lots but each day is a day closer to him coming home! After we talked to him, the girls got some hot cocoa and were ready to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Every year we have Thanksgiving dinner at my Uncle Darrell's house. We cherish all our holiday meals together. Adam said a prayer for Jason before we ate.

Some fun with Uncle Adam
Thanksgiving afternoon we went bowling with Billie & Rich, Tif & Chris, Hannah & Noah at the local bowling alley. We all had so much fun and it felt good to get some exercise after eating so much for dinner! Emma was a little frustrated at the beginning because there were no bumpers and her ball kept going into the gutter. But she kept trying and eventually got pretty good at it. She ended up hitting 9 pins and 1 for a spare on one turn and then the next turn she got a STRIKE! She was so excited!
Lauren was very insistent on bowling correctly (with her fingers in the holes and rolling the ball, as opposed to setting it on the floor and rolling it) and had a tough go at first but ended up finally knocking down some pins too! She was so proud of herself!!
