This past weekend we traveled to Chicago for a gymnastics meet. First, let me tell you how much I LOVE Chicago!! The drive was not bad and I cannot believe I have never been there!!! We spent a great weekend with great friends! My mom and my niece Madison came along making the trip that much more fun! I will post more about our Fun in Chicago later.
The IGI Chicago Style meet is held at Navy Pier and is the Largest Womens Gymnastics Meet in the WORLD! They actually had Guiness Book of World Records come last year and make it official! It was such a neat experience for the girls ( and us too!)
Emma competed at 8am Friday morning. She started out on floor and ended up with her personal best score of 9.075. Vault was next with another personal best score of 9.475!! On Bars she also received another personal best score of 8.750! She fell on beam (which is automatically a 5/10 deduction) but other than the fall she did one of her best beam routines! We are so glad we had the opportunity to go! She ended up taking 2nd in the AA (she missed 1st place by 1/10 of a point!) and we couldn't have been prouder!!!

And the best part of the day? The Level 4's took First Place as a TEAM!!! It was so amazing! The girls were so excited they all did it together!
