Monday Lauren had surgery for an umbilical hernia she has had since birth. An umbilical hernia repair surgery is a procedure performed to fix a weakness in the abdominal wall or close an opening near the belly button that allows abdominal contents to protrude. She did great during surgery and is recovering extremely well.
Monday and Tuesday she spent most of her time on the couch watching movies and had a hard time with moving around. She did not want to take her tylenol and only had two doses each day! Tuesday night she was not feeling well and ended up puking. Luckily it was only one time and seemed much better when she woke up Wednesday morning! Wednesday she was up walking around and playing more. Today she is back to her normal self-lots and lots of energy! I cannot praise Lauren's surgeon Dr. Taylor enough- he did such an AMAZING job on her incision and curved it along the bottom of her belly button...you cannot even see a scar! I'm sure she will be grateful for this during her teens and 20's!!

Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
