Me ~ Cital

Emma had her Me~Cital last Saturday night. She started taking lessons last summer and this was her first performance. Basically, a Me~Cital is a recital for one student to perform for family and friends. It was a very special opportunity for Emma to share what she has been learning. She did a wonderful job!

After her performance, we enjoyed some refreshments. We had these really cute cookies I found in a magazine. They turned out great ~ Thanks Tiffini!

Breakfast and Bunnies

Saturday morning I took the girls to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Reimen Gardens in Ames. We did this two years ago and they really enjoyed it (last year they were remodeling and did not do it). Our breakfast reservation was at 10am. They had cinnamon rolls, donughts, fruit, & drinks. I was expecting a little more, as last time we went they had bacon, eggs & bunny shaped pancakes, but now that I think about it the tickets were cheaper this year. Anyways,the girls loved eating with the Easter Bunny!

The girls were also able to do a private Easter Egg Hunt with just those attending the breakfast. This was very nice because as you know, Easter Egg Hunts can be very crowded and crazy!! This Egg Hunt was nice because all the eggs were empty & you could collect as many as you wanted and then you exchanged them for a treat bag, so everyone wins! Emma and Lauren had to fill thier baskets full (of course!).

They also had stations set up with fun activities. Face painting, decorating cookies, coloring, bunny masks, & holding real live bunnies! The girls really enjoyed holding the bunnies!

Easter Egg Decorating

Wednesday the girls & I decorated easter eggs. Our kit included glitter, stencils and paint making it so much fun for them. They had a great time!

Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Psalm 150:6

Star of the Week

Lauren was awarded 'Star of the Week' at gymanstics! She was so happy and proud of herself. She wanted to take it and show everyone. Amazing how important a little reward can be for them!
