1st Grade Graduation

Wednesday June 2 Emma graduated with flying colors from first grade. We are officially the parents of a second grader. Where does the time go?? Wasn't it just yesterday we were sending her off to preschool?? As we get ready to send Lauren to preschool this fall, her second grade year seems so far away!

During the closing service each child was presented with an award. This award was just one of their many special qualites, something that they specifically excel in. Emma recieved her award for excellence in determination and always striving to do her best. This is so very true-as she always wants to do well. We are so grateful to the Trinity Luthern School and especially her teacher Mrs. Sprengeler. She is truly a blessing to all who know her.

Emma also recieved A's on her Report Card the entire year of First Grade (there were also quite a few A+'s!!). This is a huge accomplishment and we are extrememly proud of her hard work!

They also test each child three times a year (beginning, middle, and end of the school year) on their reading ablity. Emma scored almost double the class average in reading each time they tested! We have always made reading a fun thing to do in our house. I have read to them both since they were born. I love to read and am so happy that Emma loves it too :)
