It is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.

Fun in Oklahoma

We traveled to Oklahoma on Saturday June 25. Camp Check in was Sunday morning which gave us time to get settled into our hotel room throw our bags in the room and head straight to the pool! After being crammed in the car for over 9 hours it was much needed!
Jayna, Lauren, Olivia, Emma, Madison, Mallory
My niece Madison joined us on the trip as well as another girl from our gym (Jayna). There were a few other girls (Olivia and Mallory)and their mom who were staying in the same hotel as we were. After swimming they decided to head back up to our room to do watercolor nails. I am not sure exactly what the process for this is but you can look it up on You-Tube!
The next morning it was time for camp! I took Jayna to check in at the Dorms where she was staying and then we headed to the Day Camper Registration. They only had camp from 1-5 so we did a little shopping to pass the time. After picking Emma up we headed back to the hotel for some swimming and then showered and had supper at the SaltGrass Steakhouse by our hotel.
Ready for another day at Camp!
I showed Madi around the OU Campus
And of course, back to the hotel for more swimming!
Lauren decided she didn't want to wear floaties anymore...
and started treading water/swimming all by
herself in the deep end of our pool!
Monday night before Open Gym we ate at a really fun Classic 50's Drive Up. The girls really enjoyed this :)

Tuesday night after we picked Emma up from camp we got ready and headed to Cafe Escondido- a really great Mexican Restaurant located right by our hotel we went to last year when we were there. They give you the best Chips & Salsa/Cheese Dip while waiting for your meal and complimentary Sopapilla's after your meal! Very good food!
Wednesday night was the night of the Lip Sync Contest. The girls (Emma, Mallory, Olivia & Gracie) had been practicing at the hotel throughout the week. We decided to have supper at Hideaway Pizza again before the contest. It is a really fun pizza place tucked away on the OU Campus. We tried the Fettuccine this year along with the pizza and it was fabulous!
After the Lip Sync we had frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf

and then did a little night swimming!
It was hot the entire time we were there, above 100 degrees every day!! It is such a different hot- you don't have the humidity and sweat dripping off of you like we do here! When we got in the car to leave this was the temperature...
We had an amazing time and look forward to this trip every year!

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12
