It is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.

Summer Library Activities-June

Each summer the girls participate in the Summer Reading programs through the Boone and Ames Public Libraries. They both have wonderful reading incentives that make reading a little bit more fun to do throughout the summer :) If you have not picked yours up you still have time- it is a great way to keep your kids reading throughout the summer months!

Picking up their Reading Passports at the Erickson Public Library-
they have had this reading tree at the Library since Emma was little, and I have taken her picture in it every year....I am sad that this may be the last year she will let me take her picture in it :(

They also have fun activities and programs for the kids. Here is illustrator Tim Read creating a story for the kids. He told a creative story about Heiffer International. Our Library is participating in the Read to Feed Program this summer. For each minute the kids read anonymous donors donate money to help assist millions of families around the world feed their families and reach self-reliance through the gifts of livestock and training! This is such a great program because it encourages the kids to read but also teaches them how they can help others at the same time!

But now, Lord, what do I look for?
My hope is in you.
