It is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.

Midterm Report

Second Grade is going very well for Emma. She had a fabulous midterm report.
They have a spelling pre-test on Monday and the final test on Thursday. If they get all the words right on Monday they do not have to take the test on Thursday~ Emma has only taken the Monday test for the entire first quarter.
She just finished her First Article and Meaning for memory work. This is very long and she was so proud of herself!!
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
What does this mean? I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that he has given me my body and soul, eyes, ears and all my members, my reason and all my senses, and still takes care of them.
He also gives me clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, wife and children, land, animals, and all I have. He richly and daily provides me with all that I need to support this body and life.
He defends me against all danger and guards and protects me from all evil.
All this he does out of fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me. For all this it is my duty to thank and praise, serve and obey Him.
This is most certainly true.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalms 119:105
